To become a registered childminder, it is necessary to attend a number of courses:

Early Years Foundation Stage Course
Unit 1 of a Diploma in Home-based Child Care
12-Hour Paediatric First Aid Course
Safeguarding Children Foundation Course
Food Safety and Hygiene Level 2 (Catering)

I have attended and passed all of these courses and received certificates, which are displayed on my noticeboard.
